7/24/2023 0 Comments Red breast whiskey price per shotI'm a fan of Irish Whiskey generally, and Redbreast specifically, so to see a 10-year old bourbon finished in their casks and with the collaboration of their Master Blender Billy Leighton got me excited to crack it open. Because of that, I very well may have been curious enough to try this even at it's steep price point had I not been sent this sample from Heaven's Door. OVERALL: I'm someone who likes to try new things and enjoys seeing the results of experimentation. I'd be more inclined to say 'yes' at a price point under $75īOTTLE, BAR OR BUST: Definitely worth a try at a bar, and maybe grab a bottle if you're a big Dylan fan. If you're coming to this from the world of Irish whiskey, you can get cask strength Redbreast for 20-25% less and there are loads of Bottled-in-Bond bourbon options (also 10 year, 100 proof) that are better values. The blenders here did a good job ensuring both elements had their chance to shine. SHARE WITH: This is just at home on the bar of a bourbon fan as an Irish whiskey fan. TASTE: Honey | Maraschino Cherries | Walnuts | RaisinįINISH: Drying in a good way | Short to Medium | Characteristically Dickel with a Sherry Note NOSE: Light Caramel | Dark Brown Sugar | Shelled Peanuts | Almond Paste
