If folks want to have a more inclusive cast, they can create new IPs to do so. That doesn't mean I'm okay with them butchering an existing character to promote an agenda, and yes, much of what Rafe is doing is an agenda. ![]() ![]() I love trans people, one of my closest friends is trans. You're right that a lot of people in this sub are being toxic towards LGBTQ and other minorities (not that I think u/-orb is), but they are also correct that forcing existing and popular characters to fundamentally change (in a way that will impact how their character is written) is also toxic. So my idea would be he and a group of male deathwatch guards would go to the black tower to see if they could learn the basics of channeling and he would be one of the ones that could learn and he would focus on healing. My idea would be that maybe Furyk Karede (the captain of the deathwatch) could become a male channeler because in almost his point of view he always touches that maybe the OP is not so bad and healing could maybe have saved his son. Like Lan impaling himself in the fight Demandred, and so on. Now, this is my fanfic because I grasping at straws, though all of WOT every time we see a point being brought up every now and then in the end it pays off in the end. And now knowing this Toun would start to create a personal guard of channelers inside the deathwatch, and slowly create a path where all damanes would be under her foot but free of the collars. My idea about where the story could go is that during the last Battle Hawkwing would tell Tuon that he hated Aes Sedai because of their meddling in politics on the kingdoms and not the fact they could channel and his relatives misunderstood and through the years their hated become linked to the fact they could channel. I read/hear somewhere that Robert Jordan wanted to make a sequel focusing on Mat and Tuon but unfortunately, there is very little information about the plot to try and make one of those unfinished tales like LoTR. You have my up vote, and I don't care if I get down voted into oblivion for support of your comment, because it's honestly what it looks like as the truth about this thread. You give just as much proof as they do as to how your statement is real and yet you are gonna get far more down votes than they will on it. I don't see why people downvoted your comment. ![]() He seemed the type that would accept love is love, toss the dice and see what turns up. Why is there always some one "pushing" and agenda trying to just be inclusive since there isn't much in the way of characters in existing classic fantasy that fit this? Honestly, I would say of the three men from the two rivers, Matt would be the most likely to be written this way for inclusivity. Like it's usually people who post "they are pushing an agenda with this" I don't get it. )/Rect/Subtype/FreeText/T(ksessions)/Type/Annot>
